One thing that has always impressed me about Brooks Pierce is the number of people who have worked here almost their entire working life. That certainly speaks well of the firm.
I, on the other hand, have worked at Brooks Pierce for eleven years, but in two segments – separated by almost twenty years. I think that speaks well of the firm, too.
The first time I worked at Brooks Pierce I was young and impressionable – and naïve enough to think that I would find the perfect job, if only I looked hard enough, which for me meant trying practically every law firm in Austin, Texas, St. Paul, Minnesota and Greensboro, North Carolina. After all that experimentation, I’m now back at Brooks Pierce. It may not be perfect, but for me it’s the right place.
Some of the reasons I returned to Brooks Pierce are the people (attorneys and staff), the concern the firm shows the communities it serves, the camaraderie, and the opportunity to work with people I respect and from whom I learn daily (well, almost daily).
I’m not one of those people who landed here and stayed but I am a person who was fortunate enough to be able to return.
