Andrew Tripp serves the Firm's clients out of Brooks Pierce's Raleigh office. He regularly represents clients based in North Carolina as well as out-of-state clients.

In his multi-faceted practice, Andrew represents clients in transactions and litigation involving business structures, financing, real estate development, commercial construction and land use. He has appeared on behalf of the Firm's clients in federal district court, state trial and appellate courts throughout the Piedmont and before administrative and executive agencies all over North Carolina.

Andrew's practice contains both transactional and dispute-resolution elements. He regularly advises a large eastern North Carolina-based restaurant franchisee on a variety of development- and litigation-related matters; assists diverse construction clients in dispute resolution and North Carolina materialmen's lien matters; regularly represents a Raleigh-based lender in dealings with the builders of affordable, multi-family residential housing throughout the Carolinas and Virginia and advises developers of high-end commercial properties throughout the Southeast. Andrew has been closely involved in taking a federal jury trial to verdict and advises out-of-state clients involved in litigation arising in the Eastern District.

Andrew carries on the Firm's commitment to public service by playing a role in expanding opportunities for pro bono service to indigent parties appearing in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. In recognition of these activities, Andrew received Brooks Pierce's 2009 Pro Bono Award.

Before entering private practice, Andrew lived in Elizabeth City and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Terrence W. Boyle of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. Upon graduation from Duke, Andrew's classmates and the Duke faculty awarded him the Dean Justin Miller Award for Integrity. He and his wife reside in Raleigh.
