Patrick Johnson is a business lawyer and a partner in the firm's Raleigh office. He represents businesses in a variety of transactions. These include mergers and acquisitions, transfers of assets, commercial contracts, commercial loans and private placements of securities. He has extensive experience representing businesses in M&A transactions and commercial contracts. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America (2013-2015) in Corporate Law and in Mergers and Acquisitions Law (Woodward/White).

Prior to joining Brooks Pierce in 2004, Patrick was a lawyer with Jones Day and Dewey Ballantine in New York. He also served as an investment banker with Robertson Stephens in New York, where he advised on M&A and capital markets transactions.

Patrick's practice includes representing businesses in international business transactions. He spent three months practicing in Dewey Ballantine's London office, has worked on cross-border transactions, and regularly counsels a global manufacturing business and advises them with respect to commercial arrangements involving foreign entities.
