Brooks Pierce Names New Partner in the Greensboro Office

Brooks Pierce is pleased to announce that Bryan Starrett, an attorney in the Greensboro office, has been named a partner in the firm.

“Bryan is an exceptional attorney who has made significant contributions to our clients and our firm, while also taking on a very active role in the community,” said Reid Phillips, managing partner of Brooks Pierce. “We are pleased to welcome him as our partner in the firm, and we congratulate him on this achievement.”

A former strategy consultant and corporate finance professional, Starrett has a deep understanding of business operations and finance and uses his unique experience to counsel clients on complicated business matters. His diverse practice includes designing and leading internal investigations for clients on matters ranging from unlawful contracting practices to human resources concerns. He also represents companies in general business litigation and counsels employers on wage and hour issues, contracts and policies, and privacy matters.

Starrett is an adjunct professor of business law at Wake Forest University School of Business and taught employment law at Elon University School of Law from 2013 to 2016. He received his bachelor’s degree in business from Wake Forest University and his juris doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law. Prior to joining Brooks Pierce, Starrett served as a law clerk for a federal judge in Virginia.
