Jane Payne, a paralegal at Brooks Pierce, was recently profiled by Carolina Paralegal News.
Payne has been with Brooks Pierce for 34 years, assisting in matters of railroad and construction litigation as well as bank fraud. She also serves as the firm’s liaison between the local government and railroad agencies. She has been a member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s paralegal division since 2005 and is president of the Jamestown Historic Society.
“I always wanted to be in the legal profession,” said Payne. “The paralegal field was just starting when I graduated from college, and I have been a paralegal ever since then.”
