Brooks Pierce Partner Named to N.C. Foreign Trade Promotion Council Executive Committee

Brooks Pierce partner Charles Baldwin has been named to the executive committee of the North Carolina Foreign Trade Promotion Council. He joined the council’s board of directors in February 2016.

The North Carolina Foreign Trade Promotion Council promotes the growth of international trade by North Carolina companies by providing education, networking opportunities, consulting and advocacy for companies that export, import and support global trade and foreign investment.

Baldwin has a diverse practice focused on international law, venture capital and corporate transactional matters. He has been recognized by Business North Carolina Magazine’s Legal Elite as a member of the “Hall of Fame” for his business law practice focusing on cross-border and transportation law. He is listed in U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Lawyers in America” in the field of international trade and finance. He regularly advises North Carolina and foreign businesses on international trade, regulatory and transaction structure matters. Baldwin also serves as the village attorney for the Village of Bald Head Island, providing counsel on construction, environmental, municipal and regulatory matters.
