Charles Baldwin and Mark Davidson Presented at GGI's 2016 European Regional Conference

Brooks Pierce partners Charles Baldwin and Mark Davidson presented a workshop at Geneva Group International's European Regional Conference in Warsaw, Poland, on Saturday, April 23.  The workshop, titled "Advising Clients Regarding United States Market Entry: Overview of Legal, Tax and Dispute Resolution Issues" educated attorneys, accountants and consultants from around Europe about how to help their clients prepare to expand into the United States.  Among the issues that were discussed were: U.S. subsidiary structure and planning considerations; economic development incentives; trademark, website, patents and other intellectual property issues; employment law; visas; zoning and local laws; tax and transfer pricing issues; litigation, insurance and risk management; and other planning considerations to successfully do business in the United States.

Baldwin, who practices in corporate and international, and Davidson, who practices in tax and corporate, provided practical examples and best practices to assist clients with decision making, including cost considerations.
