Geneva Group International (GGI), a global alliance of professional service firms, has named Brooks Pierce partner Patricia Goodson as Global Vice Chair of its Labor Law Practice Group.

Founded in 1995, GGI allows member firms to expand their international presence through networking and educational events. GGI is comprised of experienced accounting, consulting and law firms committed to meeting the international business needs of their clients.

The organization’s Labor Law Practice Group helps professional service firms navigate international employment agreements by providing insight on matters regarding the complex relationships between employees, employers, trade unions and the government.

“GGI equips organizations around the world with the knowledge and relationships they need to successfully conduct business internationally,” said Goodson. “I’m honored to have the opportunity to leverage Brooks Pierce’s deep legal experience to help our business partners across the globe understand the challenges associated with labor and employment law.”

Goodson routinely counsels and defends employers on a variety of employment-related issues including federal and state discrimination laws, wage and hour compliance, employment agreements, and restructuring severance programs and policies. She previously served as North American Chair for GGI’s Employment and Labor Law Practice Group.

Brooks Pierce is the only law firm in North Carolina that is a member of GGI.
