Brooks Pierce has selected Jill Wilson, a partner in the firm’s Greensboro office, to join its six-person management committee.

As a member of the management committee, she will assist in monitoring the firm’s financial performance and help make key decisions concerning the firm’s direction and development.

“I speak for everyone at the firm when I say that we are excited to welcome Jill to the management committee,” said Reid Phillips, managing partner of Brooks Pierce. “She has remained a dedicated and hardworking partner over time, and I know she will be a great asset to the management team as we seek to strategically deepen the legal expertise we can provide our clients.”

“It is truly an honor to join the firm’s leaders as a member of the management committee,” said Jill Wilson. “The overall welfare of Brooks Pierce has always been a main focus for me, and I look forward to providing guidance that will help advance our practice and services.”

Wilson represents numerous public school boards of education, private educational institutions, and colleges and universities on a wide range of education issues and in litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts. She is also the counsel for the North Carolina School Board Trust and a frequent presenter at the University of North Carolina School of Government and the North Carolina School Board Association. Wilson has been nominated by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America in Education Law every year since 2008.

Wilson is a magna cum laude graduate of Hillsdale College and received her law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.
