Walt Tippett, a partner in the Raleigh office of Brooks Pierce, has been named to the board of directors for Wake Tech Foundation, a nonprofit which seeks to develop relationships and raise funding to improve the quality of Wake Technical Community College's instructional programming. He will serve a three-year term.
“I am honored to have been elected to work with such an impressive organization that does so much for Wake Tech’s student community of more than 70,000 and our local economy,” Tippett said. “I look forward to contributing my time and efforts to helping Wake Tech provide more opportunities for students in our area.”
Wake Tech Foundation is governed by a 28-member board. It partners with private entities and individuals to raise awareness, financial resources, and other assets in support of Wake Tech.
Tippett provides legal counsel to professionals and privately held businesses, typically regarding fiduciary relationships, ownership rights, or development of real estate. He has repeatedly been recognized by his peers for inclusion in “The Best Lawyers of America: Commercial Litigation and Construction Law” and Business North Carolina’s “Legal Elite.”
