The growth of soccer in North Carolina has been nothing short of remarkable. And Brooks Pierce partner Bob Singer has been at the center of it.
Bob is a soccer coach, a player, and leader of youth soccer programs in North Carolina and nationally. He coaches youth soccer, and his teams have won three North Carolina State Cup Championships and earned three second place finishes. As a player, Bob participates in the National Veterans Cup, and his men’s team has won over 20 tournaments in the last five years. As an advocate, Bob has served as a member of the United States Soccer Federation’s Rules Committee.
Bob was instrumental in the development of Bryan Park Soccer Complex and in bringing the US Youth Soccer Regional to Greensboro.
Bob has served as President of the Greensboro and North Carolina Youth Soccer Associations, a director of the North Carolina Soccer Hall of Fame, and the chair of the United States Youth Soccer Association’s Grievance Committee.
In 2009, Bob was named to the Greensboro Youth Soccer Association’s Hall of Fame.
Most recently, Bob was elected as a Regional Director for the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYS) and to the nine member Board of Directors of USYS.
Region III encompasses the eleven states from Texas and Oklahoma to North Carolina and Florida and has approximately 1 million youth players.
