Brooks Pierce—a North Carolina law firm with significant mass media clients throughout the country—is looking for an experienced attorney to help support and grow its vibrant Media and Communications practice. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 15 years’ experience working on FCC matters and with mass media clients, including radio and television broadcasters. Multiple years of experience working with the Federal Communications Commission and an understanding of the agency’s processes, proceedings, and rules is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience working on day-to-day broadcast regulatory matters, retransmission consent / content distribution agreements and other complex transactions, including media mergers and acquisitions, ATSC 3.0 deployment, and Big Four network affiliation agreements. Experience with utilities regulation and proceedings is a bonus. Continuing client relationships are welcome but not required.
