The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently recognized Brooks Pierce partner George House for his role in the cleanup and redevelopment of the Landia Chemical Company Superfund Site in Lakeland, Florida.
House was awarded a certificate of appreciation for his representation of PCS Joint Venture, Ltd., one of three companies that received the EPA Region 4 “Excellence in Site Reuse” award for their involvement in the revitalization of the property, which had been contaminated by decades of onsite pesticide and fertilizer blending operations. The “Excellence in Site Reuse” award recognizes those who have made significant efforts to reuse a Superfund or Superfund Alternative site through joint efforts with the EPA.
