Brooks Pierce Partner Receives Distinguished Service Award from Greensboro Bar Association

Brooks Pierce partner Kearns Davis was recently presented with the Greensboro Bar Association’s Distinguished Service Award. The award was presented by Brooks Pierce partner Daniel Adams during the Annual Joint Meeting of the 24th Judicial District Bar and the Greensboro Bar Association.

Established in 1993, the Distinguished Service Award is presented to a lawyer who exhibits deep devotion and constant commitment to the law, the administration of justice, ethical principles and public service. It is the highest honor bestowed upon a Greensboro Bar Association member.

Davis leads the firm's white-collar defense and investigations practice and handles a broad range of federal and business litigation. A former Assistant U.S. Attorney, he has tried jury cases at all levels of federal and North Carolina trial courts, and he represents clients in federal trial and appellate courts around the country. Davis served as President of the North Carolina Bar Association from 2016-17 and as President of the Federal Bar Association’s Middle District of North Carolina Chapter from 2010-11.
