Brooks Pierce partners Beth Langley, Adam Tarleton and Sue Young recently spoke at the Business North Carolina CEO Summit, held April 1 and 2 at Pinehurst Resort.
Langley, Tarleton and Young’s presentation, entitled “What CEOs Need to Know Now from an Outside General Counsel,” provided an overview of governmental and legal responses to the #MeToo movement and the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, as well as how businesses have been impacted by these trends. The presentation also discussed how to best utilize outside general counsel and how to determine when to bring legal services in-house.
