09.29.2017

Brooks Pierce partner Bryan Starrett will host VF Corporation’s Kellye Gordon for an armchair discussion on corporate ethics and compliance on Tuesday, Oct. 10, in the Broyhill Auditorium at Wake Forest University. The event is presented by the school’s BB&T Center for the Study of Capitalism.

Gordon serves as the senior director of ethics and compliance at VF, which was recently named as one of the “World’s Most Ethical Companies” by the Ethisphere Institute, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices. During the conversation, Gordon will discuss the importance of instilling a culture of integrity in an organization, and the value that corporate integrity brings to company culture, corporate success, and shareholder return. She will also talk about the growing profession of ethics and compliance, which sits at the intersection of law and business, and opportunities for students and professionals in the field.

Starrett, who focuses his practice on internal investigations and compliance, employment law, and business litigation, is an adjunct professor of the practice in Wake Forest University School of Business and a member of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.
