Haniya Mir Appointed to the North Carolina Bar Association Minorities in the Profession Committee

Brooks Pierce attorney Haniya Mir was recently appointed to the North Carolina Bar Association’s Minorities in the Profession Committee (MIP) for 2020-2021.

The MIP is dedicated to increasing the presence of minorities in the legal profession as well as expanding their educational opportunities and quality of life. The MIP also seeks to provide information regarding issues of concern to minority lawyers and educating the public about the contributions of North Carolina’s minority lawyers.

Mir is a transactional lawyer, representing businesses of all sizes on a wide range of corporate and commercial transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and compliance matters, securities law and equity and debt financing. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels Orange County, NC. In addition, she is an active Duke University School of Law alumna.
