Brooks Pierce attorney Ryan Fairchild will present on a panel providing litigation updates for the Esports Bar Association on Oct. 21.
The panel will focus on the dynamics of recent and current cases related to esports, what attorneys can take away from these cases and how these cases will likely affect the ongoing practice of law. Cases that will be discussed include Tenney v. FaZe Clan, Varga v. Twitch and Jamppi v. Valve.
Fairchild’s diverse practice includes an emphasis on the esports industry. His passion for esports derives from being a lifelong gamer, and he understands the various cultures and dynamics, as well as legal, economic and structural issues facing the industry. He represents players, organizations and stakeholders in a variety of contract, intellectual property, employment and corporate issues. Fairchild has authored numerous articles on the esports climate and is a frequent speaker at industry events on the legal issues affecting the esports community.
