Brooks Pierce partner W. Erwin Fuller, Jr. was honored by the North Carolina Supreme Court for devoting 50 or more hours to pro bono work during 2017. Fuller was among the group of 345 attorneys recognized in the 2017 class of the N.C. Pro Bono Honor Society.

The honor society, founded in 2016 as an effort by the N.C. Pro Bono Resource Center, encourages attorneys across the state to provide at least 50 hours of pro bono service per year, as well as financial support to organizations that provide legal services to people of limited means. Fuller was also recognized last year by the society for his pro bono service in 2016.

Fuller has been with Brooks Pierce for more than 50 years and focuses his practice on trusts and estates and real property. He is the chair of the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) Senior Lawyers Division and is a member of the NCBA board of governors. He also serves on the North Carolina State Bar Client Security Fund Board. He has provided significant pro bono support to nonprofit organizations in the Greensboro community, including specifically First Presbyterian Church and Hospice of Greater Greensboro.
