Jessi Thaller-Moran focuses her practice on complex business matters, including issues of employee management and corporate governance. She uses her experience in the North Carolina Business Court to help clients identify possible legal issues, develop strategies for addressing those issues, and seek resolution through effective courtroom advocacy when appropriate.
As North Carolina's body of complex business law continues to grow, courtroom advocacy in those cases must also evolve. Jessi uses her experience representing clients in state and federal courts, including the North Carolina Business Court, to develop strategic and cost-effective methods for resolving legal issues relating to contracts, corporate governance, trade secrets, derivative litigation, and other complex business matters.
Jessi seeks to help companies thrive by providing solid, timely employment law counsel and dispute resolution strategies. She has advised companies on wage and hour issues, FMLA/ADA compliance, Title VII and other discrimination claims, as well as non-competition and other agreements. Jessi also represents employers in litigation in state and federal court when necessary.
Jessi endeavors to provide entrepreneurs with effective support and counsel on a variety of business formation issues, ranging from entity formation and contract review to liability risk analysis and employment agreements. Jessi focuses on walking her clients through every step of forming their businesses and assessing the risks and legal liabilities involved.
As one of five children, I’m no stranger to logistical obstacles or creative problem solving! I take pride in my ability to use a systemic approach to address clients’ individualized needs.
Outside of the office, I enjoy being outside, spending time with my husband, and playing with my dogs.
