Brooks Pierce Hosts Webinar on Employer Response Plans in the Wake of COVID-19

Brooks Pierce attorneys Natalie Sanders and James Bobbitt presented a webinar on the new Families First Coronavirus Response Act. 

The presentation broke down the new paid leave laws passed to respond to the COVID-19 crisis, describing their implications for employers.

An attorney and former operations manager, Sanders has over 20 years of experience working alongside employers to ensure compliance with state and federal employment regulations. She regularly advises clients on day-to-day operations including investigating workplace misconduct, preparing employment and non-compete agreements, terminating employees, promoting diversity and inclusion, avoiding discrimination and harassment claims and handling corporate restructuring. Sanders also represents clients in employment-related litigation in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies.

Bobbitt counsels businesses of all sizes and their HR professionals in all manner of employment law related matters, including hiring and termination procedures, compensation and benefits, wage and hour issues, and federal and state employment regulations. He also represents clients in EEOC proceedings and in state and federal court against wage and hour claims, discrimination claims, retaliation claims, and other sources of employment litigation. Bobbitt is admitted to practice in Kentucky and is currently seeking admission to the North Carolina State Bar.
