Brooks Pierce partner Kearns Davis recently presented his 13th annual Federal Criminal Case Law Update to the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA). His presentation was part of the NCBA’s 2018 Annual Review in Cary, North Carolina, on Oct. 25. The review is a yearly continuing legal education (CLE) program designed to provide attendees with updates and information on the year’s most important criminal, civil, family and real property cases.

Davis also delivered his update this year to the Federal Bar Association’s (FBA) Middle District of North Carolina Chapter, as part of the chapter’s fall 2018 CLE on Oct. 16. Davis leads the firm's white-collar defense and investigations practice and handles a broad range of federal and business litigation. A former federal prosecutor, he has tried jury cases at all levels of federal and North Carolina trial courts and he represents clients in U.S. trial and appellate courts around the country. Davis served as president of the NCBA from 2016-17 and as president of the FBA’s Middle District of North Carolina Chapter from 2010-11.
