Charles Marshall to Speak on Cybersecurity at Business North Carolina CEO Summit

Brooks Pierce partner Charles Marshall will speak about cybersecurity issues to some of the state’s top business leaders at Business North Carolina’s CEO Summit, being held from March 26-27 in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

The presentation, titled “You’ve Been Breached – Now What? Lessons From Real – and Expensive – Data Breaches” will walk company CEOs through the basics of a data breach and provide timely and concrete examples of how businesses can better prepare, defend against, and respond to a breach when it occurs. Marshall will be co-presenting with Javier Gomez, president and CEO of IT consulting firm Dynamic Quest.

Marshall has a diverse legal practice involving data privacy, government relations and complex business litigation. He has extensive experience counseling companies in responding to data breaches and in helping them identify potential data privacy issues and implementing policies to reduce the risk of a data breach. Marshall also regularly appears in state and federal courts, handling cases all the way through trial and appeals when necessary.
