David Sar Presents at the 2010 Intellectual Property Law Section Annual Meeting

Brooks Pierce partner David Sar presented "Does Your Trademark Deserve Protection" at the 2010 Intellectual Property Law Section Annual Meeting on April 9, 2010. The event took place at the Grandover Resort and Conference Center in Greensboro, NC.

Sar covered domestic and international developments in trademark protectability focusing on thorny issues concerning graphic terms, descriptive brands, generic words, colors and acronyms. He also discussed a recent review of decisions of various federal courts and international tribunals, including sharing his experience with the Fourth Circuit's recent decision in Outer Banks v. Bicast.
