Brooks Pierce attorney Mark Prak and WRAL reporter Dane Huffman presented "Online News: Redefining Journalism?" on November 22 in Raleigh as part of the First Amendment Speakers Bureau.
The presentation covered First Amendment protections, evolving news cycles and formats, the Internet and user-generated content, and legal issues concerning defamation, privacy and copyrights.
The Media Law Resource Center created the Speakers Bureau to educate the general public about the importance of the First Amendment protections of freedom of speech and freedom of the press. The program was sponsored by the McCormick Foundation
