Brooks Pierce partner Thomas Varnum will participate in an upcoming session of the NC Film Forum, organized by Cucalorus Film Foundation and UNCW Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
The forum session, titled “Legals & Locations,” will be held online Aug. 12 at 5:30 p.m., and will cover legal aspects of filmmaking. Each month the forum’s sessions cover a different filmmaking topic.
Varnum represents individuals and companies active in all types of entertainment projects, from film and television, to online videos and other media. He regularly works with independent producers and other filmmakers, counseling his clients throughout the pre-production, production, post-production and distribution processes. Varnum has represented and negotiated with production companies, talent and entertainment lawyers from all over the country, helping talented people bring creative ideas all the way from inception to the screen.
