Brooks Pierce Attorneys Present to North Carolina Bankers Association

Brooks Pierce attorneys Natalie Sanders and James Bobbitt will present at the North Carolina Bankers Association HR Workshop on March 24.

The presentation, “HR During and Beyond COVID,” will highlight the latest employment-related COVID-19 legal developments as a result of the pandemic. Sanders and Bobbitt will discuss maintaining workplace safety, responding to leave requests, dealing with employees impacted by COVID-19 and developing and revising policies for the “new normal.”

Sanders provides counsel and defense to businesses in all aspects of the employment relationship. Her 25 years of experience as an attorney, operations manager, entrepreneur and community volunteer allow her to relate well to management and provide nuanced guidance in complex matters. Recently, she has given multiple presentations, authored articles and been featured in news pieces, including in The New York Times and Forbes, on COVID-19 and its effect on the workplace.

Bobbitt counsels businesses of all sizes and their human resources professionals in all manner of employment law-related matters, including hiring and termination procedures, compensation and benefits, wage and hour issues and federal and state employment regulations. He also represents clients in Equal Employment Opportunity Commission proceedings and in state and federal court against wage and hour claims, discrimination claims, retaliation claims and other sources of employment litigation.
