Brooks Pierce Partner to Participate in American Bar Association CLE

Brooks Pierce partner Tim Nelson will participate in the American Bar Association’s (ABA) 2026 “Representing Your Local Broadcaster” CLE on April 19 in Las Vegas. Nelson will moderate “Horse Trading Galore,” a panel discussion that reviews the recent FCC changes in its foreign ownership and media ownership rules, DOJ market definitions and decisions in the media merger space, and discussions of major media transactions currently pending before regulatory agencies. Brooks Pierce is a co-sponsor of the CLE.

A former television news reporter, Nelson brings his interest and experience in broadcasting, including his knack for asking the right questions and creativity in problem solving, to bear for clients. His work includes media law, FCC regulatory work, government relations, and corporate transactions, especially for media and communications companies.
