Brooks Pierce Partner to Present on Trial Skills at North Carolina Legal Services Conference

Brooks Pierce partner Kearns Davis will present at the North Carolina Legal Services Conference hosted by the North Carolina Equal Justice Alliance. The conference will occur on Sept. 12-15, bringing together attorneys from organizations across the state that represent low-income and underserved North Carolinians.

Davis and other Fellows of the American College of Trial Lawyers will speak to the Conference about trial and litigation skills. Davis will deliver the presentation on closing argument.

Davis founded the firm's white-collar defense and investigations practice in 2007. A former federal prosecutor, he has tried jury cases at all levels of federal and North Carolina trial courts, and he represents clients in U.S. trial and appellate courts across the country. In addition to criminal matters and investigations, Davis handles a broad range of federal and business litigation. He served as president of the North Carolina Bar Association in 2016-17, and is currently a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers’ North Carolina State Committee.
