Estate and Corporate Legal Assistant
Brooks Pierce, a law firm specializing in all aspects of business law, with over 120 lawyers and four offices, seeks a full-time Legal Assistant for our downtown Greensboro office.
Our employees are part of a collaborative team and play an integral, indispensable role. A successful candidate will be an excellent team player committed to client service.
The Legal Assistant position requires that most work is performed in-office during a set core schedule, but remote work of up to one day per week may be available. Some overtime and scheduling flexibility are expected. Salary is commensurate with experience and education.

Requirements:
- Minimum three years of relevant experience, preferably in a mid-to-large sized law firm
- Excellent attention to detail, including formatting, proofreading, and grammar
- Exceptional typing and transcription skills (typing test required as part of hiring process)
- Ability to take direction from multiple attorneys and prioritize appropriately
- Willingness to work collaboratively and supportively with others
- Excellent communication skills and responsiveness
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Power PDF Advance
- Notary public
Strongly Preferred:
- North Carolina Certified Paralegal
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform word processing, transcription, drafting, and finalization of correspondence and documents
- Maintain filing system, including timely filing, opening, and closing files
- Perform internet searches and library searches
- Maintain corporate minute books and stock transfer ledgers
- Compile electronic document databases
- Reserve conference rooms and schedule set-ups for client conferences
- Complete attorney time entry, client billing, and travel and expense reimbursements
- Manage calendars
- Make travel arrangements
- Assist with special projects (in a variety of practice areas)
- Perform other tasks as needed
