Brooks Pierce attorney Ryan Fairchild was recently named as a member of the Community Advisory Board (CAB) for WHQR Public Radio. The WHQR CAB is a group of eight or more members selected from the listening area to advise the station on programming goals, policies and decisions. The CAB also evaluates the effectiveness of the station at meeting the educational and cultural needs of listeners.
Since 1984, WHQR has served the Wilmington and greater Cape Fear region by providing news and educational programming to its listeners. WHQR broadcasts on two stations in the Wilmington area, one providing content from NPR and other public radio sources, the other providing classical music.
Located primarily in the firm’s Wilmington office, Fairchild represents esports players, content producers and stakeholders in a variety of contract and licensing issues. He also represents domestic and international clients in state and federal litigation, including in complex business, intellectual property and constitutional matters.
