Brooks Pierce partner W. Erwin Fuller Jr. has been chosen as chair elect of the North Carolina Bar Association’s (NCBA) Senior Lawyers Division. Fuller has been a member of the Senior Lawyers Division Council since 2015. He will become chair on July 1, 2018.
The Senior Lawyers Division provides North Carolina attorneys age 65 and older the opportunity to share their professional knowledge and promote respect and courtesy among members of the legal profession. It encourages members to pursue their interests through activities, publications and programs. Mentoring and pro bono service are two primary activities of the Senior Lawyers Division.
Fuller joined Brooks Pierce in 1966 and focuses his practice on real property, estate planning and estate administration. He was recently recognized by the North Carolina Supreme Court and designated as a North Carolina Pro Bono Honor Society member for contributing more than 50 hours of pro bono service in 2016. In 2011, the NCBA recognized him with its Citizen Lawyer Award, which is given to attorneys who provide exemplary public service to their communities.
