Brooks Pierce Attorney Named Chair of NCBA Senior Lawyers Division

Brooks Pierce partner W. Erwin Fuller Jr. has been chosen as chair of the North Carolina Bar Association’s (NCBA) Senior Lawyers Division, effective June 24. Fuller has been a member of the Senior Lawyers Division Council since 2015 and was the chair-elect of the Senior Lawyers Division last year.

The NCBA Senior Lawyers Division provides attorneys in North Carolina age 65 and older the opportunity to share their professional experience and promote the ideals of integrity, courtesy and respect among members of the legal profession. It encourages its approximately 2,300 members to take advantage of programs that provide professional development and opportunities for networking, mentoring and pro bono service.

Fuller has practiced law for over 50 years, focusing on trusts and estates and real property. He is a member of the NCBA Board of Governors and the North Carolina State Bar Client Security Fund Board. Fuller has also supported the NCBA by serving for multiple years as a member of the North Carolina Bar Foundation’s Development Committee and the NCBA Annual Meeting Advisory Committee. Fuller was recently recognized by the North Carolina Supreme Court and the North Carolina Pro Bono Honor Society, as well as by the Greensboro Bar Association Herb Falk Society, for providing more than 50 hours of pro bono service during 2017.
