The article discusses how privacy is increasingly becoming a serious concern associated with drone use, and how local governments are addressing the issue. In addition to discussing why one-size-fits-all privacy laws don’t work in the drone industry, Hartzell also emphasizes that laws pertaining to drones are constantly evolving.
"One of the things that happens when laws are created to govern nefarious conduct that targets specific technology is the ne'er-do-wells restructure the technology so that it falls outside the law," Hartzell said. "It becomes a cat and mouse game."
