Trade magazine Radio World recently published an article on the 2016 iteration of the Ohio Association of Broadcasters annual engineering conference, which was held in Columbus, Ohio, in conjunction with the national meeting of the Society of Broadcast Engineers. Partner Stephen Hartzell participated in a panel discussion about FCC regulation and policies, and his talk was one of just a few highlighted in the article. Among the topics discussed by the panel were the Emergency Alert System, regulatory requirements for communications towers, the impact of staff reductions at the FCC, and pirate broadcasters.
Nearly 200 radio and television engineers from across the United States and Canada attended the meeting.
