Stephen Hartzell Discusses Drone Use Regulations in the Real Estate Industry in California Real Estate Magazine

Brooks Pierce attorney Stephen Hartzell was quoted in the September issue of California Real Estate.  He spoke with the publication's technology reporter Dave Johnson about the regulations covering the legal use of UAS (drones) in the real estate profession for an article titled "Drones Taking Off."  Among the specific issues he addressed are the growing ease of getting an FAA Section 333 exemption for commercial use of a UAS and the privacy issues related to using drones to get aerial footage of property.

"Now that the FAA has introduced summary grants, it's pretty fast and easy," said Stephen Hartzell, an attorney with North Carolina-based law firm Brooks Pierce.
