Brooks Pierce attorney Sekoia Rogers Diggs will present a seminar on June 9 at the Southern Documentary Convening conference in Durham, North Carolina. “Fair Use Essentials: A Legal Roadmap for Documentary Productions,” will provide attendees with an overview of copyright, and discuss tools and strategies for conducting fair use analysis and mitigating risks.
The Convening is an annual three-day event for first-time, emerging and experienced documentary makers hosted by the Southern Documentary Fund, an arts nonprofit that cultivates documentary media made in or about the South. The conference takes place on June 7-9 and features workshops, panel discussions, screenings and networking opportunities with industry professionals.
Diggs helps clients in dynamic industries, such as technology, media, and telecommunications, and represents entertainers on a variety of issues including contract drafting and negotiation, licensing, trademarks, and copyright.
