Brooks Pierce partner Dan Colston has been appointed to the Garth Newel Music Center board of directors. He will serve on the board for a three-year term.
Founded in 1973, Garth Newel Music Center is a year-round chamber music venue situated on a historic 114-acre property in the heart of Virginia’s Allegheny Mountains. Over 50 concerts are presented throughout the year by the resident Garth Newel Piano Quartet and renowned guest artists. Concerts are paired with meals created by the center’s full-time resident chef.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Colston attended the center’s emerging artist fellowship program from 2004-2009, performing on violin and viola.
Colston uses his experience clerking for the U.S. Court of Appeals to inform his counsel for businesses and individuals facing litigation. He represents companies of all sizes in a variety of commercial matters, including intellectual property disputes.
