Bryan Starrett Appointed to United Way of Greater Greensboro Board of Directors

Brooks Pierce partner Bryan Starrett has been appointed to the United Way of Greater Greensboro’s Board of Directors.

The United Way of Greater Greensboro focuses its philanthropic efforts on breaking the cycle of poverty in the Greensboro community by supporting self-sufficiency. Its efforts leverage charitable contributions and relationships with businesses and organizations to encourage programs that provide education, health care and employment opportunities for families in need.

Starrett has a unique background as a litigator, employment lawyer, and in-house generalist for a new public company. This combination of experience gives him an invaluable perspective for understanding how a legal issue fits within clients’ business operations and goals, and how to provide thoughtful and practical counsel to clients. In addition to using his combination of legal and business experience to help clients, Starrett also works as an adjunct professor at Wake Forest Business School where he helps business students identify, understand and learn how to navigate the legal environment of the businesses in which they work.
