Brooks Pierce partner Elizabeth Troutman spoke on May 21 at the Reidsville Area Foundation’s 2025 Grantee and Community Partner Conference. She presented “Legal Updates Impacting Nonprofits in 2025,” discussing recent executive orders, litigation, and proposed legislation related to civil rights laws and funding. The biennial conference offered attendees the opportunity to engage with community leaders, empower collaborative teams, and celebrate the collective work of the community.

Troutman advises public school boards of education, private educational institutions, colleges and universities on a myriad of education issues, and litigates on behalf of educational institutions in state and federal courts.
