02.20.2023

Brooks Pierce attorney Mousa Alshanteer will moderate a virtual panel on Feb. 28 about “a day in the life” of a health care attorney. Organized by the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) Health Law Section and Young Lawyers Division (YLD), this panel features experienced practitioners in health law such as Susan Fradenburg, a partner at Fox Rothschild, Joy Heath, a partner at Williams Mullen and Gabriel Scott, a partner at K&L Gates. Participants will discuss their health law practice and day-to-day work, the early stages of their career that led them to health law and emerging trends.

Alshanteer has advised health care providers, including physicians, group practices, hospitals, and surgery centers, on a wide variety of transactional matters, general business matters, regulatory compliance, and litigation. Additionally he has planned, negotiated and documented a variety of corporate transactions across several industries, such as mergers and acquisitions (including both purchases and sales) and private equity financing. Alshanteer also represented clients of all types and sizes in general business matters, such as entity formation and organization, corporate governance, and contact drafting and negotiation. He is currently serving as the NCBA YLD Health Law Section Liaison.
