Sarah Saint Named to North Carolina Council of School Attorneys Executive Committee
Brooks Pierce attorney Sarah Saint has been named the Region V representative to the North Carolina Council of School Attorneys (NCCOSA) Executive Committee.
NCCOSA was formed to support school board attorneys in their efforts to advise and represent local boards of education. It offers school board attorneys access to a wealth of information on the dynamic world of school law in the form of conferences, publications and advice from fellow attorneys.
Saint advises and litigates on behalf of public and private educational institutions and school boards on a wide range of education law issues, including special education and disability issues, civil rights laws, and tort claims. She has a particular focus on diversity and civil rights issues, including issues related to race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability and religion. Saint is actively involved in numerous professional and civic organizations, including serving as the North Carolina Young Lawyer Delegate for the American Bar Association House of Delegates, Young Lawyer Division Liaison for the Education Law Section Council of the North Carolina Bar Association, and a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee for the American Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division.
