Director of Recruiting and Professional Development Shannon DeGennaro to Speak at NCCU Law and Technology Summit

Brooks Pierce’s Director of Recruiting and Professional Development Shannon DeGennaro will participate in a panel discussion titled, “Behind the Gatekeepers: Insights from Law Firm Recruiters.” The panel will take place during NC Central University’s 2025 Law and Technology Summit on October 17 at the Durham Convention Center.

The panel discussion will offer insider perspectives on the hiring process from the vantage point of small, mid-size, and large law firms. Attendees will gain valuable insights into how to make their applications stand out, avoid common pitfalls, and effectively position themselves for success in securing summer associate and attorney roles.

DeGennaro is responsible for all aspects of law school and lateral recruiting and hiring, including conducting outreach and programming at top law schools to bring the best legal talent to the firm. She also oversees the summer associate program and associate integration. DeGennaro brings her experience in professional development, career counseling, and coaching to the firm’s associate development programs.
