Brooks Pierce partner Tanisha Palvia has been elected an officer of the Charlotte Asian Pacific American Bar Association (CAPABA) board of directors.

CAPABA focuses on strengthening the Asian Pacific American legal community by bringing light to issues and concerns facing the community at large. As an officer of CAPABA, Palvia will serve as the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association liaison, keeping CAPABA apprised of the various efforts of the national association. She will continue her previous work with the board of directors to work towards equal representation of Asian American and Pacific Islander attorneys in the Charlotte area and beyond.

Splitting her time between Charlotte and Greensboro, Palvia represents individuals and organizations facing governmental investigations, white-collar criminal charges and civil litigation.
