My Practices

  • Agustin represents both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of litigation, with a focus on complex commercial and business disputes. He regularly handles cases involving contract disputes, business torts, intellectual property matters, corporate governance issues, conflicts among business owners, and other areas of business litigation. His litigation experience also extends to disputes concerning trusts, estates, and real estate.

Agustin has represented many Spanish-speaking clients in litigation, leveraging his fluency in Spanish to effectively advise and advocate for them throughout the litigation process.

Agustin has substantial courtroom experience, having served as both lead and second-chair counsel in jury trials in state and federal courts, with active involvement in all phases of trial preparation and presentation.

  • Drawing on his background as a former HR professional at a large Detroit-based energy company, Agustin has assisted employers with conducting internal investigations, responding to external agency investigations, and providing employee training. About Me

I was born in Mexico and raised in the Midwest after my family moved to the United States when I was five. As an immigrant and first-generation lawyer, I understand what it’s like to navigate systems that weren’t built with people like us in mind. This perspective deeply influences how I practice law. I bring not only legal expertise but also clear guidance and empathy to my work, whether I’m advocating for a business in high-stakes litigation or helping a Spanish-speaking client feel seen and understood in our legal system.

I feel incredibly fortunate to practice law alongside colleagues I greatly respect at a firm that values both excellence and a collaborative, supportive work environment.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading, and trying my hand at authentic Mexican food recipes, especially those that remind me of my childhood and my late mom.
