Complex Business Dispute Mediation
Overview
Mediators for Complex Business Disputes
Mediation in complex business disputes – either before or after litigation begins – allows the parties to exercise control over how those disputes are resolved. Selecting an experienced mediator, one who has represented clients in similar bet-the-company lawsuits and has grappled with complicated legal and factual issues as an advocate, can be key to the success of the mediation. That background can help the mediator better discuss the risks, benefits, and costs of further litigation and explore creative solutions with the parties to the dispute and their counsel.
Brooks Pierce has a team of certified mediators who focus on complex business disputes. Charles Coble, Eric David, and Jennifer Van Zant collectively have more than 75 years’ experience litigating complex business cases in federal courts, the North Carolina Business Court, North Carolina Superior Court, and arbitration proceedings. They are respected advocates and creative problem-solvers, with in-depth knowledge of the law applicable in many complex business disputes.
