Brooks Pierce Attorney Appointed to United Way of Greater Greensboro Board of Directors
Brooks Pierce partner Adam Tarleton was recently appointed to the United Way of Greater Greensboro Board of Directors. He will serve a three-year term beginning on July 1, 2017.
The United Way of Greater Greensboro focuses its philanthropic efforts on breaking the cycle of poverty in the Greensboro community by supporting self-sufficiency. Its efforts leverage charitable contributions and relationships with businesses and organizations in the community to encourage programs that provide education, health care, and employment opportunities for families in need.
Tarleton has been part of Brooks Pierce’s Greensboro office since 2007. He focuses his practice on providing tax, estate planning and business counsel to individuals and families, including succession planning and establishing charitable trusts and foundations. He also represents clients in the nonprofit sector with tax structures and compliance matters, and defends clients in litigation for tax controversy issues.
