Brooks Pierce has been highlighted as one of the Council for Entrepreneurial Development's (CED) Strategic Partners for March. CED interviewed Brooks Pierce partner David Smyth, the firm's key contact with CED, about Brooks Pierce and its commitment to supporting North Carolina entrepreneurs.
When asked why Brooks Pierce supports CED as a strategic partner, Smyth said, "CED has long been one of the sparkplugs in the engine of North Carolina commerce. Just as citizens of the state, we want to be part of that and see that innovative sector of the economy grow. We also work with many closely-held businesses, and see CED as a place to refer our clients for business advice and counsel, beyond what we provide as their attorneys."
CED is a nationally connected network formed to help North Carolina entrepreneurs build and grow thriving businesses through education, mentoring and capital formation resources.
