Brooks Pierce attorney Bryan Starrett has been named to the Triad Business Journal’s 2015 40 Leaders Under Forty, an annual listing of the region’s top young professionals.

The 2015 honorees were selected based on their professional and civic contributions. This year’s class was honored at a cocktail and awards presentation on February 19.

“Brooks Pierce is very pleased that another member of our firm has been recognized in the Triad Business Journal’s 40 Leaders Under Forty list,” said Ed Winslow, the firm’s managing partner. “We are not surprised that Bryan Starrett is recognized for professional and civic leadership. He is a leader, a highly motivated lawyer, and a committed citizen of Greensboro and the Triad. You will hear more from him.”

Starrett practices from Brooks Pierce’s Greensboro office. Before he became a lawyer, he worked as a corporate finance and strategy consultant. As a lawyer, his practice includes business litigation, corporate law, compliance and internal investigations, and employment law. He enjoys working closely with clients to understand their business operations, goals and challenges.

Starrett is very involved with the Out of the Garden Project, a local nonprofit that provides food assistance for families in Guilford County. He has served as a member of Out of the Garden’s board of directors since 2011, and was recently named chairman of the board. He is also an adjunct professor at Elon University School of Law.
