D.J. O’Brien Named President of the Federal Bar Association’s Middle District of North Carolina Chapter

Brooks Pierce partner D.J. O’Brien was named president of the Federal Bar Association’s (FBA) Middle District of North Carolina Chapter. He will serve until the fall of 2020.

As president of the chapter, O’Brien will lead efforts to strengthen the federal legal profession by promoting the interests of lawyers—both civil and criminal, both practitioners and judges, both private and government—that practice in North Carolina’s federal courts in Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and Durham.

O’Brien represents businesses and individuals in litigation across North Carolina’s three federal district courts, with a focus on the False Claims Act, employment litigation, class actions and other complex business disputes.
